Scenario-based training for Florida home inspectors
Inspectors across Florida needed reliable 4-Point Inspection training, but in-person delivery wasn’t practical for a statewide workforce.
The organization needed a scalable solution that met continuing education requirements while improving inspection consistency and accuracy.
Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), we distilled over 100 technical slides into focused training on the highest-impact inspection tasks. The solution addressed both the training gap and the consistency problem: realistic scenarios walked inspectors through common situations, quick-reference job aids supported them on-site, and a workbook reinforced key skills.
Realistic scenario-based assessments place inspectors in authentic decision-making situations they might encounter on the job. The goal was to help them practice making judgment calls before facing these challenges in the field.
Created an infographic with ready-to-use workflows for photographing, documenting, and reporting problematic panels. The job aid also included scripts for communicating findings to clients.
The companion workbook allowed learners document key terms, reflect on complex scenarios, and practice applying concepts through guided activities.
