Hi, I'm Angela.

  • Instructional Designer
  • M.Ed.
  • PMP
  • Comic Sans Hater

I partner with L&D teams that need an extra set of hands, a specific skill set, or someone to keep a project from going off the rails.

Background

I started as a branding consultant. When clients struggled to adopt what I’d built, I created training instead of answering questions one at a time. Seeing that shift work—people going from confused to confident—became my path.

That inspired me to earn a Master’s in Instructional Design from The University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!). As the learning projects became bigger and more complex, I decided to dive more deeply into the project management side of learning development and earn the PMP certification.

My Approach

A headache isn’t an aspirin deficiency…performance isn’t always a training deficiency.

Wait, what? An instructional designer who doesn’t think courses are always the answer? Yep. You read that right.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Too often, training becomes that hammer—the default fix for every performance problem. But sometimes, a course isn’t the solution. Performance problems typically fall into one of three categories:

WILL

They know how, but they’re not motivated.

HILL

Systems, time, or processes are getting in the way.

SKILL

They don't know what to do or how to do it.

I design strategies to flatten the hills and develop learning experiences to sharpen key skills.

I Can Help

Interactive eLearning

Built in Storyline and Rise, but designed for humans. I turn dry policies, dense compliance, and complex software workflows into scenario-based simulations that learners actually remember (and don’t just click through on mute).

Strategy & Needs Analysis

Not every workplace problem needs a 45-minute module. I evaluate performance gaps, interview stakeholders, and diagnose the real issue before anyone wastes budget building training that nobody asked for.

ILT & VILT Overhauls

Subject matter experts know their stuff, but their 90-slide decks usually need rescue. I rebuild facilitator guides, student workbooks, and slide decks so in-person and virtual sessions stay engaging, focused, and on time.

End-to-End Project Delivery

Curriculum design with built-in PMP rigor. Whether you need single assets or a multi-course launch, I manage scope, tame chaotic SME timelines, and deliver polished deliverables without the eleventh-hour scramble.

A Promise...

We all know that just because something is required doesn’t mean it’s interesting. I can’t promise to make it exciting—it’s compliance training, not SEC football. What I can promise is training that respects your team’s time and intelligence.
