Introductory Module of Beginning Makeup Artistry Course
THE PROJECT
For years I’ve provided web design and marketing coaching for makeup artists and other creatives. As I transitioned into instructional design, several clients expressed interest in expanding their businesses to include new artist education. This is the first module of a course designed to help new makeup artists dispel some common myths and make good choices when investing in their first professional makeup kits.

THE PROCESS
I started with a checklist I’d previously created and collaborated with other artists via a shared Google documents to gather suggestions and feedback.
I created an outline and referring to Gagne’s Nine Events, I designed activities to garner attention and help learners retrieve information they may already have and prime them for learning to information.
