The challenge was translating a subject matter expert’s experience into a structured learning experience with a clear sequence and takeaways suited to a live workshop. With only one hour allotted for the presentation, there was a concern that learners might not remember enough to implement what they learned once they returned to their practices. Without a usable job aid, participants leave with good intentions and little to anchor them.
My approach was to keep the concept accessible and usable in practice. The presentation introduced patient avatars in plain language and tied them directly to everyday decisions. The implementation guide supported that process after the session, using a simple checklist, a focused worksheet, and a front‑desk reminder card designed for day‑to‑day use.
