This microlearning module was developed for ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) members to educate them on the importance of errors and omissions (E&O) insurance and introduce ASHI Advantage, a collaborative benefit with InspectorPro. The module aimed to increase awareness of E&O insurance as a critical business safeguard while highlighting the specific advantages offered by InspectorPro’s coverage.

Process

  • Identified the need to address misconceptions about E&O insurance and its role in protecting home inspectors from potential liability.
  • Reviewed member feedback and collaborated with stakeholders to ensure the content aligned with ASHI’s goals and InspectorPro’s offerings
  • Developed a concise, interactive microlearning module in Articulate Storyline, breaking down complex insurance concepts into easily digestible sections.
  • Used Adobe Photoshop to design visually engaging graphics that illustrated key points and enhanced comprehension.
  • Incorporated interactive elements, such as clickable scenarios and quizzes, to engage learners and reinforce understanding.
  • Deployed the module via ASHI’s member portal, ensuring easy access for the target audience.
  • Promoted the microlearning through ASHI’s communication channels to maximize member engagement.

Outcomes and Insights

 

The microlearning module received positive feedback for its clear and engaging presentation of E&O insurance and ASHI Advantage benefits, helping members better understand the importance of insurance while increasing interest in the InspectorPro program. The interactive format captured attention and achieved higher engagement rates compared to traditional materials, demonstrating that digestible microlearning modules, stakeholder collaboration, and visually engaging, interactive design are key to improving understanding, retention, and motivation.
